Hi! My name is Alan Heppell, and I have been in I.T. since the early 1980’s, running my own bigger I.T. firm in Perth West Australia for the bulk of that time. In June 2022, I sold my interest in that company to start a new venture.

As my speciality is Small business networking, my core services are aimed at the SOHO (Small Office / Home Office) and Small Business sectors. As an agent for most of the largest I.T. distribution chains in Australia, I can source and supply most I.T. brands, equipment and cloud services, including Microsoft 365. I provide Web site hosting, and hosting of automated off site backup solutions. I also hold a Police Security Industry license, for CCTV consulting and installations (License number 76593). I provide both on-site and remote support, and can provide add-hock, pre-paid, or managed services. Charge rates are detailed below.

My office is home based, so, as my operating costs are low, I can pass on those savings to you. My current charge rates for consulting / support are $120 + GST per hour. For remote work it’s in 15 minute increments. For on-site work, it’s in half hour increments, and I “start the clock” when I leave my office to cover car costs, capped at half an hour for Perth Metro area. I also service regional areas, with travel costs calculated accordingly.

One question that I am sometimes asked is… As you are a “1 man show”, who will support me when you are away on vacation? Firstly, let me say, that I always carry my notebook with me, and can provide remote support whether travelling in Australia or overseas, as most places have mobile coverage these days. Secondly, I have agreements with other like-minded consultants, who can provide on-site support during these times.
